I have read reports online that the charging port is loose on some iPads that can result in cables slipping out, can you expand on this?

There were reports of loose charging ports on previous models, but this is a few generations ago now. Apple have rectified this in newer generations of iPads, so the charging cable should now fit nicely in to the port without risk of the cable slipping out.
