Laptop RAM

Your laptop's memory is the short term data storage area used by the processor to quickly access data when needed. Laptop memory is directly related to the performance of your machine and generally speaking, the more RAM you have, the smoother and faster your computer will run, especially if you're running multiple programmes simultaneously. Most of the latest laptops are supplied with at least 8Gb of RAM which is fine for mainstream tasks but if you're planning to run several large applications or lots of memory hungry ones simultaneously, each one will consume a chunk of RAM and you may need to boost the RAM to 16Gb or more to avoid your laptop running slowly.
