Netbooks are small and lightweight laptops designed for basic computing needs. They are typically smaller than traditional laptops, ranging in size from 7 to 11 inches and weighing as little as 1.2 pounds, but still feature a full QWERTY keyboard and trackpad. Despite their small size, they offer many of the same features as larger models such as Wi-Fi access, webcams, USB ports and SD card slots.
The main difference between netbooks and other laptop computers is their processing power. Netbooks typically offer lower performance than other types of laptops due to their focus on portability rather than power. Because of this, they are best suited for tasks like web browsing or basic word processing but not more demanding activities like playing 3D games or editing large video files.
